My little sister from Big Brothers, Big Sisters sent me an invitation to her high school graduation party! I'm so proud of her. Obviously, she's old enough that we aren't matched through the program anymore, but she'll always be my little sister. I can't wait to go to her party, as we haven't seen each other in over four years. We coincidentally both moved away from where we lived at around the same time, which was a bit of a relief, as I had felt so bad about leaving her. We have kept in touch...

My beloved car has been looking rough. Her outer rockers have been rusting badly and getting some holes...and the inner rockers were starting to get the same way. Not good. I was discouraged when I first started inquiring about getting her fixed. One place gave me a quote that was really high and advised me to not have the work done and just drive her until she falls apart. Seriously! He said that the body will fail before the engine does, so just keep driving her until the body just can't take...

I got him so that the tetras could have another buddy, since Reggie passed away over East weekend. However...it was the angels who seemed the most interested! They are so observant and curious.

I turned 27 on March 9th. Of course, I always try to stretch out my birthday celebration as long as possible. My first birthday celebration was on February 28th. Mom, Dad, and I had driven back home to stay with my sister for the weekend. We went to visit Aunt Carole, and she made us dinner. She also baked me a birthday cake, which was really good!

It's midnight. It's late. Well, it is for me. It didn't used to be that way. This used to be the jumping off point. I still had hours to go through, things to do. I'd drive around aimlessly or sit in bed and write endlessly or talk on the phone for hours straight. I stayed up tonight to work on a mix CD for a friend, and I am horribly frustrated. I'm just not happy with it, no matter how much I tweak it. I'm worried that it's too boring. Or maybe I'm in a "mood". I think I am just going...

We exchanged Christmas gifts early, and Ernie got me a beautiful ring!!!!!!

It's white gold with black and white diamonds. *fans self* We're going to get it resized to fit my ring finger.

Ernie and I have been together for over four years now. I've been at my job for over three years now. Those are both good things, of course.

I did lots of Christmas shopping. I wrapped lots of presents. I love it. The problem with being on top of that though is that once you have it done and feel accomplished, you want to do more because...well, you've got the time.

I'm a little quieter lately, but I'm all right.

I want dandelions AND snowflakes.

I've had this problem since I left my hometown and moved downstate over 8 years ago: making friends. Not even attending college provided me with lasting friendships. Yes, there were people I hung out with. We had great times, did lots of things...but where are they now? They just kind of faded away as we all graduated at separate times, despite any efforts made to stay in touch.

I currently find myself with plenty...

Our shed from Tuff Shed came today!!!!!!!! My dad and Ernie worked so hard to prepare the site for the shed. I am so excited. It will be awesome to have a place to store things like the lawn mower and the generator. It will free up space in the house.

We had an absolutely gorgeous sunrise this morning. Pictures I take never seem to truly capture how stunning they are. I had to at least step out onto the front porch and make an attempt anyway though.
