I want to go to another U2 show like, NOW.

Real life is kinda boring after you've been to a U2 concert. They really are addictive, aren't they?

Some of these are from my iPhone, some from my digital camera, but I had the 'night' element open on my camera, so the exposure was longer; hence, lots of light trails and blurring! None of them are perfect, but I got a few interesting shots. Pretty happy overall.

• SOOO MUCH. First let me just say thank you to Marcos in Houston who blew me off the morning of the concert, because the seat I got at the ticket window was absolutely PRIMO. Seriously, I could not have asked for better: great view, able to see and hear everything perfectly. EDIT: Well. Marcos of Houston ('Lost in Sound'--people take note) BLEW ME OFF at the last minute due to other plans that apparently came up 'unexpectedly.' So I guess there are a few in the Blue Crack crew who aren't all they're 'cracked' up to be. Which makes it very sad for the rest of us who try to be more 'upstanding' U2 citizens.

Right now it's only 67F...I've been waiting 5 months for this!

A coworker of mine is flying from Dallas to Chicago tomorrow (ARGH) to see the boys play at Soldier Field, and she was hoping to stalk um, I mean, run into them while in the windy city! Does anyone have an idea where the guys typically stay in Chicago? Oprah's house, maybe?

60 apps and counting.

Much of my free time has been spent scouting out and downloading some of the MANY iPhone apps out there and learning how to use them. It's amazing all of the goodies that are out there to use on your iPhone...apps you didn't know you needed but you find you MUST HAVE! LOL My latest addiction (and I bet I'm not alone) is that Koi Pond app! Both realistic and surreal, and I love all the sound effects you can add too.

And of course, now...

Now that I'm all back in the swing at my not-so-new job, things are becoming more 'normal,' such as:

I overslept this week. Twice. Been working full time for nearly 30 years, and I still can't get up in the morning. On top of that, we've had storms roll through a couple times this week which woke me up very early, and then I couldn't get back to sleep. Nice.

Had my first review this week. Hate them! But I got a really great report, and people...

My wonderful kitty Arnie passed away peacefully in his bed last night. Even though I feel guilty that I prolonged things, I'm glad it was at home and not at the vet's.

I only had him about 5 years, and got him when he was already "old" (11) but in the few years I had him, wow, he was one very special little guy.

Thanks so much for all y'all's support (that's possessive plural Texan) during this time. Many of you have had furbabies of your own, so...

Arnie was SO lethargic and listless, and could not even stand when I set him down, that I decided to take him to the emergency vet...where he was diagnosed with kidney failure!

I'm about beside myself, and of course, feel guilty as hell. Could I have stopped it? Probably not, but still...

They're keeping him overnight, pumping him full of antibiotics and fluids; then tomorrow I have to pick him up at 7:30 am, take him to my regular vet...

I'm extremely worried about my kitty, Arnie. He's losing weight, is very lethargic, I can tell he's dehydrated, and his skinny little fur is flying off his skinny little body. I'm sure he has either hyperthyroid or kidney problems. As of today, it looks like he hasn't eaten or drank anything all day. I even tried to tempt him with some tuna water, which normally he loves, but he wouldn't touch it. I'm kinda freaking out.

I made an appt. for him for Monday morning, but...
