how do you walk away from someone when you are so in love with them because they've lost control and can't regain it from an addiction?

My Grandma passed away this morning.

it's only taken me......... 5 years to figure this out, but what a huge mistake I made letting my Nursing Assistant certification lapse.

Now I'm stuck in this job, awaiting to hear on if I'm in the nursing program or not for Fall, and thinking to myself..... why are you so dumb?! You should have stuck to the program 7 years ago, you'd be a Nurse in a great position by now.
