So, Sam and I are going to Virginia for Thanksgiving. I'm excited about super cheap shopping and Cheetos, but nervous about everything else. Sam is thinking about renting a car there (oddly enough, he's now the one who can legally drive in the US since my KY license expired a few years ago and I haven't learned to drive in the UK), but I worry that it will be expensive even in American money.

I had a sore throat all day Monday, but just put it down to being back at work where I'm allergic to all the dust and where I have to talk much more than I usually do.
