Flaming Lips at the Festival Hall, 29/07/09

Holy crap this was one of the best shows I've ever been to! Balloons, confetti, people in animal costumes, trippy visuals, great music, happy dancing audience - what more could you wish for?

I completely forgot that because I remembered about the show too late I got a seated ticket instead of GA, so at first it felt a bit disappointing that I couldn't join the floor. Still, it was a pretty good seat compared to some other people who were only able to see one side of the stage....

Doves at the Palace Theatre 28/07/09

My friend Greg had never seen her and he wanted to go and invited me along.

It was a good show. I didn't know most of the songs because I stopped listening to her pretty much after her second album. But still she put on a great show and the audience was pretty hyped. There were a few songs I knew, "Icicle", "Cornflake...

Back to Life, back to reality

Posted 07-29-2009 at 01:51 AM by maycocksean
. . .back to the here and now. . .

Anybody remember that song?

Well, I'm back from San Francisco, with sore muscles and a finish medal in my bag. I did the 26.2 miles and though it was pretty miserable, I'm glad I did it. I'll be doing a blog in a few days with the blow by blow account.

So, now, can't put it off any longer we have to face our new life in the States. It is daunting to say the least. Right now I'm working an hour and a half from where...
