I feel like lately I don't have anything interesting to talk about except my running. I am insanely busy with work, and have been doing tons of OT (which is great for the bank account). I've been training for my 10k run in April for 6 weeks now, and the run is coming up! April 20th is not that far away!

It's been going great so far. I'm in the learn to run program, so we've been slowly ramping up our running times each week. This week we're doing run 5 minutes/walk 1 minute like a bazillion times. On Saturday the time jumps up to 10 minutes, and will jump up a considerable amount each following week until we're running for at least an hour straight. It sounds...

I had an incredible vacation! Hawaii was glorious, warm, sunny, rainy, rainbow-filled, exciting, thrilling, and new in so many ways.

It was just me and my parents for the majority of the time. My brother was able to join us on the 23rd, which was nice. He originally wasn't going to be able to come at all, so it's great that his plans were flexible enough to be changed.

I spent most of my time on the beach or on our lanai (deck) soaking up as much sun as I could....

My annual trip to Hawaii is fast approaching! After work today I'm headed down to Seattle. We'll spend the night at my grandma's house, then our flight leaves first thing tomorrow morning.

Yesterday I went to Costco to pick up a few things. I have a membership through work, but I rarely go there since it's a bit inconvenient.

Last night I'd looked through a co-workers flyer, and realized there were several things in there that were well priced, and that I was running short on. So I made the trek.

This weekend I went to Bumbershoot in Seattle. It's a 3 day music festival, and there's also comedy, film, and other stuff. It's pretty sweet. I went with my friend Erin, and we had a fantastic time.

Last week I went up to my parent's camp to work in the kitchen. I do this every summer, and it's always wonderful.

This year was a bit different, but it was still great. My aunt is the head cook, and it's always wonderful to spend time with her. The other two assistants this year were really nice. They just weren't as loud and insane as the girls last year, so it wasn't a constant party. That was good, though, because it gave me a lot of time to be quiet and think, and sort...

Tonight's the Relay for Life! It starts at 7pm, and goes until 7am tomorrow. I've raised just over $500, which is so awesome.

I haven't been sleeping much (or very well) this week, so I'm pretty exhausted right now. It's going to be tough, but it's definitely worth it. The frustration with getting my ink has finally been taken care of.

I had a brainwave yesterday evening after reading the other comments in my previous entry. This morning I called the courier company, and asked to speak to a specific person there. He is the delivery guy for our office, and when I was the receptionist for our office way back when, we became friends. I called and asked to talk to him, and he had just walked in the door. Good timing on my part! He was surprised...

Last night I came home to a notice that a delivery company had attempted to deliver me a package. I wasn't home during the day (obviously), so they left a notice.

It said that my package could be picked up after 1:30pm today at their location "near" me. It included their hours of business, which are 9-5. Okay. Those are the hours I'm at work. They're not open on weekends. Their location is about a half...
