Ugh.

A 17 year old kid was killed yesterday in Calgary after he was pushed in front of a moving transit train. This was at the same stop I catch the train to work from every morning. It was just too eerie to be there today 17 years old. Almost 18. Who knows what it was about, who cares. Apparently there was an argument. In a flash his life is over.. for what?

Stuff like that kicks my butt every day to make the most of all of it. All of it. Truly.

So after a very stressful move( ), I'm settling nicely into my new place. It's fantastic, I could fit 3 of my old apartment into this one Apparently I made the right choice of cities though, I only just landed and I already have several job offers that I didn't seek out Now that's great and all, but I suppose I should get to work choosing one since I have bills to pay

Nothing too exciting otherwise, I'm just really happy with the newest developments ...

I got over my fear of flying. I was pretty amazed at how relaxed I was to tell the truth.

And what a beautiful place. U2 fans EVERYWHERE. What a crazy start So relieved to have found Carmel. What a crazy first night - 48 hours with no sleep? You want to go for drinks? Why not! Gecko running up the side of a building.. partying at a little dive bar nearby.. throwing off our shoes and running into the ocean.. the water is still turquoise at night................................

As sad as I am for his family, I can't help but admire what he sacrificed. He could've stayed home and lived comfortably with his money, but he followed his passion. People like that push the world forward.
