Two years already?!

I can't believe it's been 2 years since I wrote in here. And it must have been 2 years also since I looked at Feedback until this week, and also 2 years since HTDAAB came out.
Yes, I've gotten used to the silly too-long title now.
And it is better than ATYCLB, although it's no Achtung Baby.
And also, I clearly still have my subscription to Interference... although this is mostly due to me forgetting it existed until the money came out of my account. *L* I can't say I'm sorry now... what's $12 a year to keep this awesome site running?
I am also no longer a U2 concert virgin. Hooray! Best nights of my life. Did I mention I have a very boring life?
Started practising bass again, no telling if I can keep it up this time. Went as far as emailing my old bass teacher, was nice to catch up.
Got U218 and the ZooTV DVD for my birthday... I's a happy U2 fan! And I am a fan... nothing else would explain my unusual behaviour over the weekend of the 18/19/20th of November 2006.
Wasn't initially interested in U218 - I figure it's another Best-Of without the bonus of b-sides I've never heard, but there's a DVD, and it may well be paying for this leg of the tour, and after hearing Saints live, that song frickin rocks. Much better live and without Greenday, but I'll take what I can get.
I skipped past half the tracks when I put it in my car today... BD and Pride were never my favourite songs, although BD live was very good. The only point in the concerts that they lost me was on the Saturday during Stuck. Sorry, no sale.
Sunday the 19th was unbelievable. I'm sure any number of seasoned concert-goers would tell me they've seen better, but it totally blew my mind. Not just the setlist, but everything about it, even when Edgeworld blew up. All part of the fun.
And now I've been haunting setlist parties and getting stuck into the forum again. Cibryen is suffering and will probably continue to do so, but I cut way down on that before the shows, and you know what? If it doesn't interest me, why bother? U2 interests me now in a way they haven't since some of those very old journal entries down there.
ATYCLB was just a speed-bump. I have lots of thoughts about ATYCLB vs. HTDAAB, but it's late and everyone's probably already said them by now.
Sometimes - LAPOE - SBS.... it's right up there with Bullet - RTSS. Wow.
PS: Why won't it let me type pointy arrows??
