That's me... go, go, go, go, GO! I mean, it's great occasionally to have so much going on that you can hardly keep up with it, but I don't care to live like that for any suspended period of time.
But that's what I'm doing.
Full time job 5 days a week; part time job 4 nights a week; staying with my mom 2-3 days/nights a week; laundry, housekeeping, errands, some kind of social interraction with friends, plus church all packed into Saturday & Sunday. Trying to support Mama without making her feel guilty about the disruption in my routine, trying to keep Kelly from feeling like I've abandoned him, trying to keep from drowning in my job - I don't ever remember feeling so scattered.
And then when I think of all the people who are trying to raise kids by themselves or taking care of one or more elderly relatives, or the people who work 3 jobs to support their family I feel like smacking myself. There are folks who work 7 days a week and NEVER take a vacation anywhere; just work and sleep - THEY have something to gripe about. Me? I should shut my mouth & thank God that both my parents weren't taken from me at the same time and that I have a husband who's so supportive of me.
For now, I'll try to focus & keep my eyes on the prize... 8 glorious days in NY and the first of two U2 shows that I have surely earned for myself.
