A Graduation & A Birthday
My little sister from Big Brothers, Big Sisters sent me an invitation to her high school graduation party!
I'm so proud of her. Obviously, she's old enough that we aren't matched through the program anymore, but she'll always be my little sister. I can't wait to go to her party, as we haven't seen each other in over four years. We coincidentally both moved away from where we lived at around the same time, which was a bit of a relief, as I had felt so bad about leaving her. We have kept in touch through phone calls, letters, and emails, and we always send each other cards and gifts for birthdays and Christmas. I'm so excited to see her again!
In birthday news, my sister turned 30 today.
I know that 30 is nowhere near being considered "old", so don't get me wrong...but it's just weird to think that my sister is 30...especially when I remember that I'm only 3 years behind her. Time is totally flying. It's a little scary. Anyway, she visited our parents earlier this month, so I visited as well, and we celebrated at that time. Mom, Dad, and I chipped in to buy her a Wii, an extra set of controllers, and a Wii Fit. She was so excited! It made me so happy to get that stuff for her. I volunteered to actually purchase the gifts and wrap them. I like wrapping gifts!

She brought one of her friends with for her visit too, so the three of us had a night on the town. I love hanging out with them! We always have such a good time.
I wish that Mom, Dad, my sister, and I lived closer closer to each other. Actually, I'm only about an hour and a half from my parents, so that's not too bad...but I'm about 8 hours from my sister.
I suppose it could be a lot worse though!
