New Computer & U23D

Posted 02-26-2008 at 05:53 AM by Bonochick
First, I just wanted to say thank you so much to everybody who had kind words in my last journal entry. As I mentioned, I have not had contact with my uncle since I was a kid, so it's not as though I am going to miss a presence in my life now or anything, but I am thinking about him a lot. The whole thing is just very sad, and it's cliche to say it, but it truly makes you think about what is important in life.

As for the title of this entry...

The USB cable for my printer arrived yesterday morning, as did my keyboard and mouse. I received my printer and battery backup last week, and everything else is scheduled to arrive today. Hopefully, I will be setting up my new computer tonight.

Ernie and I saw U23D last Saturday, as I mentioned in EYKIW. We went to the Henry Ford IMAX. We usually never go out on Saturday night, Saturday night is meant for staying home and watching Cops. Ernie didn't seem to thrilled about going...but it turns out that's because he thought it was more like a U2 documentary, not a 3D concert movie. I asked him what he thought the 3D in U23D meant, and he said, "I don't know, it's U2! It could be anything!" He ended up having a lot more fun than he had expected, of course, and I had a great time too. It's a fabulous show, so if you haven't seen it yet, definitely try to get to it.
