The Importance Of Sun Protection

Posted 09-07-2008 at 07:09 PM by Bonochick
Just in case anybody needed a reminder of how important it is, here is a visual from yesterday.

Me, before the Michigan game:

Me, after the Michigan game:

Pretty obvious that I wore a hat, sunglasses, and a necklace, eh?

Not only is it painful, but I look absolutely horrible!! In fact, that picture is probably the single worst picture of myself ever posted online, surpassing the pictures posted after my wisdom teeth were removed.

At least I had fun at the game though!! It was my first, and it was a blast.

    :yikes:
Keep hydrated and maybe take some ibuprofen for the pain.
I LOVE a product called BIO-OIL, it's light pink and about $6 at Wal-Mart, I put it on right after sun exposure and it soothes and hydrates my skin, and also helps reverse any damage.
    I hope you heal fast.

That looks painful! Go get some aloe lotion, and use lots of it!

I am still rocking some of my Indy 500 sunburn. I was wearing a v-neck t-shirt so I have the sleeves AND the V. For some reason I thought 1 coverage of SPF 15 an hour into a long, sunny afternoon would be enough.

I don't think you look that bad in that picture! But the sunburn looks painful

That looks really painful! You should have put on sunscreen all over!

The hat is really cute on you though.

Think of how much protection the hat provided. Sorry that looks painful, the necklace line is pretty original though

Mr. BAW and his Dermo believe in a minimum 30 SPF but he wears 50 at the game! Sorry about the tenderness but GAWD, you're still cute!!!

Ouch! Get the aloe vera STAT! Maybe apply some cool rags to the burn. I burn easily too. Never leave home without the sunscreen!!

I know how you feel. I used to get free tickets to Michigan and I would always forget the sunscreen. Yours looks really bad though. I usually just got my nose and cheeks burnt. Aloe helps a lot!!!!

I have pale/reddish skin like yours, BC, and my face turns red if I get too much Michigan summer sun. I know how you feel (sunburned). Hope you feel better!
