One of those weeks

Now that I'm all back in the swing at my not-so-new job, things are becoming more 'normal,' such as:

I overslept this week. Twice. Been working full time for nearly 30 years, and I still can't get up in the morning. On top of that, we've had storms roll through a couple times this week which woke me up very early, and then I couldn't get back to sleep. Nice.

Had my first review this week. Hate them! But I got a really great report, and people said lots of nice things about me, so that part was great. Not sure if it means a raise or anything, but for now, it's job security. Nice!

So I was all when I picked up my new iPhone last night...only to get a massive headache today from spending much of it playing with--and becoming frustrated by--what it can't or isn't able to do. Plus it didn't come with instructions. Nice.

Today was strange. A coworker who has been all kinds of trouble (see this post as a reminder) got the boot this morning. I don't think she even had an inkling. I worry because she is the type who might do something...vindictive. I'm not saying she will, but she's definitely the type. And I sit in reception. Nice.

Then toward the end of today, a coworker who'd already left earlier left me a message to call her back. I forgot all about it...and then found out later she'd had a flat tire. And also needed to get a quote out by EOD. Nice.

I also discovered my fiancee (or is it fiance?), whom I hadn't seen in over 20 years, on Facebook, only to learn he has 3 kids, has been twice divorced, is ultra liberal, and just looks....rather old and puffy. It makes me wonder what might have been if we'd kept on our path to the altar. 20/20 hindsight tells me I'd probably be a divorced single mother...so I guess to that I say: WHEW.

Yep, been one of those weeks...
