Three things I need you to know, including Level 4..

Posted 07-02-2009 at 02:32 AM by kafrun
Never a dull moment around here..

I came home after a busy Monday, tired and ready for a bit of couch time. Alas, I also came home to a sick kitty, so off to the emergency vet we went, waited, waited, waited, got in, got tests started, meds prescribed, and a treatment estimate done up. $450 later, I have a healthy kitty again, but the dust hasn't quite settled and there may be more costs involved. I think I didn't get home or eat until after 11. I could've just got a goldfish, but noooooo..

Curious, can kitties hold down jobs? Cause if these furrchildren keep insisting on daily food, water, and regular healthcare, I expect them to pull their weight around here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Level 4 pole-dancing started last night. This is the stage where the addicted dedicated few remain. There are only three of us in the class, but that makes for more one-on-one instruction, so I like it. We first did a hardcore(Oooh, it burned!) floor workout that focused on lower body strengthening. This is to prep for gripping for mostly upside-down work. We then learned a new move called the 'Snake' on the pole. You flip upside down, grip with your lower legs, wind your body around the pole and sloooowly slide down. Very cool, but scary at first to get used to that sensation of letting go with your hands.

I woke up this morning and almost had to crawl out of bed. Thank goodness for a day off today, because my body most definitely needed to recover I also got another poke from my instructor to consider becoming an instructor myself.... I'm seriously considering cutting back my hours at work and doing it at some point.

And on a sadder note, I got word just before class last night that my uncle died suddenly of a heart attack. I didn't know him well and he lived far away, but I remember him quite a bit from growing up. He was my father's only brother. RIP Uncle Jim.

Good night.

    RIP Uncle Jim

I wish Otto would start bringing in some money. He sits on his fat furry ass all day & night But he's oh so cute What are you gonna do? Hope your kitty is feeling better and is done with the vet.

And we'll be needing videos once you've mastered level 4!

On another note, I've been hinting that Mia has needed to get a job for the past 10 years. Bitch is lazy!
