yeah, i have nothing witty to put here.
at long last...my neurologist appointment
Posted 01-14-2009 at 03:31 PM by KhanadaRhodes
was a colossal waste of time. between having to wait over an hour to be seen and 500 screaming kids in the lobby i was pissed enough. but the neurologist didn't seem to give a shit about anything. my eeg was apparently totally normal so instead of discussing other options, etc., she just gave me more prescriptions. she even admitted what she prescribed is similar to what i already take. so why switch?
i really wish i could find a decent neurologist in this city. all i did was waste an entire afternoon and $25 for the exact same info my awesome general doctor could've told me.

thanks everyone
and i know what you mean emma, this is the second neurologist i've been to (the first one was ages ago for something else) and they've both been bad in one way or another.
and the sad thing is amy, this was a referral from my general doctor
i'm not going to stress about it though, or at least try not to. i can't afford to keep wasting the little vacation time i have going to doctors who'll do nothing for me anyway.Posted 01-14-2009 at 05:50 PM by KhanadaRhodes

Perhaps you can check with the local hospital for neurologists/recommendations? I think they are the group who are the least "people-friendly" people (no bedside manner whatsoever). At least that's what it seemed like for my sister & my husband's neurologist back in L.A. Hopefully he's happy with the guy he sees now.
Hope you find the answers you need
