After 14 years

I worked my last day in the television industry today.
We had a nice going away party, which I appreciated greatly. Odd, though, to be the center of everyone's attention.
I'm so terribly excited for then next steps...the drive to the Bay Area, finding an apartment wiht my girlfriend.....applying to schools, etc.....but it's weird to leave the only business I've ever known since graduating.
So, yeah, anyway, that was today. This time next week I'll be on the road, likely in Wyoming.

mike, i'm so glad you're going out there and pursuing a dream, brave stuff. best of luck with everything, finding a place, settling in with your girlfriend, finding a college, and eventually getting your degree and finding a job in your new career.
it's just a shame your travels won't be taking you down this way. luckily memphis is lame enough to get a decent day trip out of it. i get a kick out of showing the city to people even though it's not my favourite place. but there is some interesting sights here.Posted 09-22-2009 at 08:47 AM by KhanadaRhodes

wtg mike! have a blast traveling across country and taking in all the amazing places that you will get to see along the way!
Good luck on your new career/school pursuits in the bay area! I love that part of Cali. I have long time friends that live in the Concord area near SF.
The city of SF is awesome. Have visited so many times and had my honeymoon there, went to a Giants game.. It reminds me of NYC kinda cuz of the way the city is broken up into areas (chinatown, little italy aka north beach) and you can walk to everything, with great transpo too. There is so much going on there all the time, never a dull moment IMO.Posted 09-22-2009 at 10:43 AM by U2Fanatic4ever
