Oh dear, that's not so good. With any luck getting the hot water to work will be fairly minor so you'll have it soon.
I read your "demolition man" blog and yep, it's certainly a pain now, but you'll be able to get laughs out of this story for years!
And on the bright side -- at least you don't live in my brother's house. His bathroom (the only one on his side -- it's a duplex) has been torn apart (there's no toilet) for two years. There was a leak, and he ignored it so long it not only destroyed the bathroom, but also the kitchen below. Then he tore out the bathroom...and stopped working on it.
And he wonders why his 13 year old daughter doesn't want to stay overnight at his house....

I once had no hot water for 5 months in the winter. Yes the landlord really took his time to repair it. You will get used to it at some time, you know LOL!Posted 10-22-2009 at 12:00 PM by achtung_girl
