follow up to dsmith2904's journal

I had this big long comment written in Dev's journal and not wanting to monopolize, copied it to post here and promptly lost it.
Basically it said that the whole time I was reading her journal I was wondering (based on the pics she posted) if the BSO were anything like Stray Cats that I loved when I was a kid. I thought I'd look up what they were about and then found out that BS was the front man of Stray Cats. I was in love with them when I was 10 for a while, and had no idea what happened to any of them after that. I loved seeing them on Top Of The Pops, and my uncles made so much fun of me ( my nana basically raised me till I was 5 so my uncles opinion matter!). The Stray Cats sparked a love of 50's era USA, and through my teenage years I had an autocrush if a guy had a DA
I remember making my mom abandon my really annoying little brother
so she could dance with me around the kitchen vinyl floor with me to them. I'll have to remind her tmw!
I searched on You tube to see if I could find one show appearance (I think it might have been on cracker jack or some other show that had musical guests where they dressed in ...oh bloody hell what is the name...suits from the 50's where the jackets were a bit longer etc. anyway, couldn't find it, but did remember that they were the first band I watched that I liked who used a double bass. And for some reason the cat association always makes me link them and The Cure's lovecats
by the way Dev, you owe me half a days horrible performance at work tmw and a pair of socks (well one anyway, I wore a whole in it dancing to a looooooong time worth of you tube videos!!) I should have been in bed hours ago but was all jaunting and dancing down memory lane.
