Forgot about this for a while...

I've been pretty busy, so here's what I've been up to over the last 2 months:Spent Christmas in Hawaii, which was lovely! We spent the first 8 days in Kona, in a little house up in the hills. It was great to experience a new place in Hawaii. The pace of life is much slower, and very different on the Big Island, but I enjoyed my time there. We found some fabulous beaches, got to see the volcanoes, and tour a coffee plantation. My Dad surprised us with spending the last few days of our vacation in Honolulu, which was such a treat. I wasn't expecting that at all, so it was great fun to be there.
We came home to massive amounts of snow, which wasn't so fun. I hate cold weather and the snow, so it was pretty miserable. Plus, I came down with the stomach flu over New Years. Ugh.
The forecast is for snow this week, and I'm hoping that it will just rain instead. It's high time for the weather to start clearing up and get a little warmer. I don't care about the rain - it can rain all it wants. As long as there's no snow (well, except for the piles along the side of the road at my house, and in our front and back yards that haven't finished melting yet), I'm a happy camper.
I've started my running training again, and that's been going great. My first 10k is in about 3 weeks, and I have a feeling I'm not going to do so hot at that one. I haven't been active enough (the horrid weather made it impossible or very hard to be motivated to run for quite some time), and I'm not able to run an entire 10k straight right now. We'll see how well I do, but I'm most likely going to be briskly walking/slowly jogging for that one. The next 10k is in April, so I have lots of time to work up to that. My goal for that one is to beat my time from last year, which I hope will be possible. I'm confident I'll beat it, though, since I'm in much better shape than I was at this point last year.
