I swam a mile in the ocean yesterday

The race went really well. I didn't beat my previous time, but I wasn't dead last! Hooray!
Here's me just before receiving my award (a completion certificate and a water bottle). I look crazy exhausted, but I'm happy I did it!
The weather was absolutely stunning. It was around 30C, there was a little breeze from time to time, and the ocean water was nice and warm. There were a few big roller waves here and there, but otherwise the conditions were perfect. My face got a little bit burned, and is still a wee bit red today, but at least I have a rockin' tan from all the time I got to spend outside on my week of vacation!
Next year I'm determined to be in even better shape, and hopefully improve my time.
