Wine Night..Hell yes.

Now that the first of my group of girlfriends has turned 21 (I've only got 2 months to go
), we've decided to make Friday or Saturday nights (depending on work schedules) our wine nights. Tonight is the first one. We're all getting together later at my friend Laura's house to down too much vino, dance to Michael Jackson, complain about guys, and act generally crazy.
It's been 3 years since we graduated from high school now and with everyone's college and work schedules it's still tough to get used to not seeing each other every day like we used to. I'm really looking forward to starting a new tradition as simple as it might seem. We're all still adjusting to being adults, and it still feels weird sometimes. We all laugh that 5 or 6 years ago, our parents still had to drive us to the movies.
I've really learned as I've gotten "older"
to value my friends and the time I have with them. In a few years after we've all graduated from college, we'll likely all move away and start life somewhere else, and the fact that these girls (and guy friends, even though they're banned tonight
) might not be constant figures in my life anymore after that is really scary and sad. They're the best, and I don't know what I'd do without them.

But enjoy your time while you can! And a tradition like wine nights is a great thing to keep in touch with each other.
