U2 declares 2000 - 2006 worst period of their career yet
In an interview with Rolling Stone, U2 lead singer Bono reveals that in their heart of hearts they regret compromising on artistic integrity just to bounce back into public consiousness. He admits that 2000's All That You Can't Leave Behind and 2006's How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb were two of the most mediocre, uninspired albums to ever hit music store shelves, but also confesses that it was something they had to do to stay relevant in the despicable mainstream music scene dominated by the likes of Fergie and Justin Timberlake. Now that they've won back the affections of the whole world, Bono says he's willing to experiment, explore and create something truly mindblowing. But the question on everyone's mind is... Is it too late?

What? Seriously?? Didn't he say two crap albums and they're out? :hmm:
