Musings from a fan and a note to the ppl who bitch abt. U2 setlists

U2 fans Vs. Green Day fans:
Green Day fans...
-don't have the same concert etiquette, or any for that matter
- say fuck a lot more than U2 fans
-are shorter (thank god)
-are not as pretty
-do NOT camp out 18-24 hours in advance of the show (lined up @ 5:45 and got in the 2nd "row")
I will say this to all the setlist bitchers: I was what we'd call a casual Green Day fan. Saw them before they were big. Bought Dookie. LOVED American Idiot but still didn't see them live. Like 21st C. Breakdown. After seeing the show, which was 97% hits and crowd pleasers I'm a HUGE fan who will now get the other albums I'm missing and who is traveling to another Green Day related event in the very near future. Suck it!

I too saw them for the first time this past tuesday at the Forum in L.A. I admit I went for the opening act, Franz Ferdinand. I got there at 6pm and was "4th" row
It was obvious we werent there for greenday and I was shocked how nice the tall greenday fans were about letting my friend and I stand in front of them for the opening act.
For Greenday I left the front of the pit and stood off to the side and was shocked how much I danced and sang. Definitely a pleasant surprise considering i was not a fan of theirs growing up. I definitely recommend it!Posted 08-31-2009 at 03:57 AM by Outsider
