I asked Steve Averill about The Edge and hats, when I saw him at the R&R HOF in 2003.

I said: In the promo shots and album art, Edge went without hats but by the tour... it was back to cowboy hats.

Steve said: We've all told him he looks great without the hats but I guess we all have to do what we are comfortable with.

Fair enough.

With or without hats... I still think Edge is one cool guitar player.

Late `50's Gibson 330TD. Tasty guitar. Looks to be a 1958 or 1959.

Legend has it, it was one of the victims of the 2002 flood at Hanover Quay studio.

Used for "One" live, during the "Zoo" tours. Seen in the video for "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses" and lest we forget the tune in the picture in question... Used at K-Mart for the Popmart press conference performance of "Holy Joe".
