:hmm: Judging from the pics I've saved, 2010. Though I had a huge off U2 phase in early 2009, so might be because of that. But all my 2009 pics have a stud in the left ear rather than the ring.

The plot thickens.

Checking my stuff: Lesotho was may 16-17. I have pictures of him in the jacket he's wearing in the pic, from Rwanda on may 18. That may be it!

ETA. It's not. :hmm: He's wearing a shirt, not a t-shirt. But he was wearing a t-shirt in lesotho, but I've no pics of him in the jacket there.

:lol: So it is likely from that week, but I don't know exactly when it's from. Lesotho seems most likely since the other pics are from there.

It's from the future, you guys. That's how he's going to look at me after I'm caught climbing over his wall in Ireland next month.

Hence the angry, yet smoldering look.

Also thanks for the LA times info :hug: it was driving me crazy trying to find it. But at least my many "Bono no sunglasses" searches led to something.

ETA: Look waht I found. I overlooked it. This pic is from Lesotho as well.

It's really funny. Since I have the other Lesotho pics of Bono that are on her site. But I've never seen that beautiful shot before. How did it manage to hide from us all this time? :sad:
 
Yes, from Africa, remember I said I think we've seen that pic before? :) I was pretty sure it was from his trip to Africa that year and I know there were other very similar pics to that black n white one, but my folders from back then are totally unorganized. And of course I don't think we had it that big. :drool:

Mephy I did scan the LA Times article with those pics and article. Also I will get you the link to the photographers blog about the day he took those pics. Very interesting what he says about Bono and that photoshoot. :wink: Bono is very opinionated on what photos get taken of him.

Thanks :hug: GG linked me to the cover scans you made and I already found the online article :) The part about him being told he probably wouldn't get a photo with no glasses was the only part I remembered though, so searching on that alone was proving difficult.

I have more of Kim Houghton's pics of Bono from Lesotho, I'm searching my old folders from back then when he made the trip. There are actually a ton of them.
(And is the photographer a girl? I always thought it was a guy. :lol:)

Yeah, she is. Although, there are pictures from these trips, at least on gettyimages, which were taken by a guy :)
 
There are a whole bunch of her pics of Bono and Ali in Africa, one Mephy posted above already. All of the ones of him in that Edun hoody and black Edun tshirt visiting the children in Qalo are hers. From 2006 :)
