Local Time: 12:07 AM | I hope Every Breaking Wave sounds more like the electro-parts (00:40-01:19) of the unindentified Get On Your Boots Mix which I read about yesterday on another part of the boards: That spells electro-pulsing pop in my book all right! ![]() Does anyone listen to OMD at all by the way? Perhaps I should check out their stuff just to get a general idea of what we might have with Every Breaking Wave? |

Local Time: 07:07 PM | The biggest bubble-bursting bit was the Adam interview a few weeks back where he said that Bono hears a few notes and thinks there's an album, whereas the rest of the band need to hear songs. ![]()

Local Time: 05:07 PM | @U2.com's cover story: U2 debating over Songs of Ascent Posted: November 04, 2009 By: m2 Rolling Stone magazine's Brian Hiatt posted on Twitter last night after a phone interview with Edge. On the bright side, Hiatt posted that Edge says "Kingdom Of Your Love" -- the U2 360 tour intro song -- is a "potential Songs of Ascent track." On the not-so-bright side, Hiatt also posted that "Songs of Ascent remains an idea more than an actual album at this point, a subject of debate within the band. No release plans yet." |

Local Time: 10:07 AM | Both smell of damage control to me. They have gone out gung-ho and want to relieve the pressure on themselves to rush it through. I still think we'll see it early next year |

Local Time: 04:07 PM | Imagine you're in U2 and you're planning to TRY and make an album. What would you tell fans, if you're smart? You'd downplay expectations and keep it as secret as possible, until you're confident that the album will happen. I think that's what we're seeing here. The band doesn't want to put undue pressure on themselves, on the record label, etc. by whipping us all into a big frenzy. The second they say anything like, "well, we're off to the studio to record another Zooropa style quickie, an experimental fun album" we'd all go bananas, lol. |

Local Time: 06:07 PM | How long after today's gig should we expect until they get back in the studio? Any rumors or anythings? |

Come on, give them a break. They have almost 6 months time to finish that thing, although I´m afraid they won´t give us more than a single or a bonus-tracks-edition of NLOTH. | |

Local Time: 04:07 PM | I don't understand the "staying in Vancouver to record" thing. Since they went to New York last week and now Germany this week, why go back to Vancouver? Seems weird. |

Local Time: 10:07 AM | ^ probably wanted to try out the room. It is a nice looking room. I just hope, given tht B says 9 songs are done for it (done probably means they have them in shape to record them after working on them throughout the tour), they decide that if they cant write 2 or 3 more songs to fill their expectation, they release a 9 song disc of the songs in their current state |
