Mothers of the Dissapeared - Translation needed!
Hi, I was wondering whether some of our Spanish speaking friends on here could help translate what Bono sings during two popular live recordings of Mothers of the Dissapeared. The first one is from Santiago PopMart (He sings something like "El pueblo vencera") and the second is from a Joshua Tree Tour show (he speaks far too quick for me to even try to work out what he's saying!)
In case you dont have them, here they are, remember to remove the spaces: http://www.you send it.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=21C5148A37F9F0D2 - There is the PopMart Santiago version http://www. .com/transfer.php?action...6DD556536F7B16 - There is the Joshua Tree version Thanks, Hope someone can help me on this one. |

Re: Mothers of the Dissapeared - Translation needed!
On Mothers Of The Disappeared Bono didn't say much in Spanish, rather The Chilean Mothers Of The Disappeared talked to us showing their feelings about their sons lost during Pinochet's dictatorship
What Bono sung was "El Pueblo Vencerá" and that means "People Will Win" I will listen to the other version and I'll translate it for you ![]() |

El Pueblo Vencera means "We, the people, will conquer, or prevail.
