Everyone was wondering when sales would stabilize in the USA and it looks like they did in week 17. Since week 17, the album has sold an average of 5,177 copies a week, with the low being 4,339 , and the high being 5,819.

I hope that the tour will help NLOTH to rise in the charts.

We will without a doubt see a sales spike this week and throughout the tour in the US and Canada.

After the Chicago shows, I bought a copy of "U2:18" and NLOTH for my sister (who saw her first U2 show on Saturday - we had great upgraded seats - original seats from the fan club were crap).

I thought she might like another "souvenir" (so far, she and her bf are listening to "U2:18" more).

Regardless, that's one more copy of the album purchased! Now, if we can only get a fraction of the 160K (?) that saw U2 in Chicago to buy NLOTH, we should see a nice little sales spike.

looks like U2 will eclipse my 1 million sold in the U.S. by October prediction by a week or two....still impressive #'s when you look at the lack of almost any airplay at most radio stations around the U.S.

Tallarico - thanks for the sales update! I'm going to take your post and combine it with chart position run to keep both together.

NLOTH's run in the U.S. is below.

U.S. Billboard Chart Run:
1-3-2-6-12-14-16-22-34-36 (Week 10)
43-55-58-69-66-63-95-108-93-76 (Week 20)
77-71-87-79-83-102-97-88

U.S. SoundScan Sales Run:
484,472* + 132,494 + 76,317 + 51,179 + 35,989 + 34,764 + 20,545 + 17,457 + 14,075 + 14,977 (Week 10)
10,573 + 9,451 + 8,422 + 7,457 + 7,720 + 8,552 + 4,956 + 4,339 + 4,916 + 5,819 (Week 20)
5,576 + 5,496 + 5,122 + 5,342 + 5,410 + 5,103 + 4,872 + 5,833

Total: 997,255

*Includes 547 copies due to "early street sales".

What's interesting is the 1000 copy boost in sales NLOTH received last week, yet the relatively small jump in the charts (97 to 88). The last time NLOTH had sales that high, it charted at #76. I wonder if the rise on the charts/sales will continue, especially given the huge audiences in Chicago and Boston (and now with New York coming this week). Regardless, as was pointed out earlier, the album definitely has remained constant since Week 17, boucing between 4300-5900 in sales for 11 weeks now (wish it was higher, but I'll take this - better than falling out of the Top 200 as "Pop" did back in 1997).

Is it just me or the sales increase in the US is kind of disappointing?
The tour is breaking every record here and there and yet we see an increase in album sales of only 1000 copies? I guess those numbers are prior to the concerts in Giant Stadium but I don´t expect to see a significant increase next week if the effect of two of the larger markets (Chicago and Boston) was just 1000 additional copies.
