Still #1 in Iceland, third week in a row.

Magnificent is up to #3 from #4 on most played songs on Icelandic radio and is doing much better than Boots did (highest at #13 I think).

U2 Tops European Albums Chart For Third Week

Quote:
Billboard's European Top 100 Albums is headed for a third week by U2's "No Line on the Horizon" (Mercury/Universal), and Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" (Interscope/Universal) starts a fifth week atop European Hot 100 Singles.

The U2 album continues at No. 1 in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Hungary, the Belgian region of Flanders and makes a chart-topping debut in Greece. It tumbles 1-6 in the United Kingdom and is also down 1-2 in Ireland and Austria. Lady Gaga's "The Fame" continues to tail U2 on the composite chart, at No. 2 for a second week after climbing 2-1 in Ireland and Austria, 3-2 in Germany, 5-3 in Denmark and 8-7 in the United Kingdom.

I dont think you're counting week 1 of 2009 on media traffic's website. I know that it may technically be part of 2008 sales but are we sure its not counted toward 2009 since it is listed as week 1?

This isn't from mediatraffic. If week 1 from mediatraffic isn't there then it must be on the list for 2008

Concert Haul: U2 Tour Racks Up A $19M Monday (LYV)

Quote:
By contrast, the band's latest album, No Line on the Horizon, sold 692,000 copies in the U.S. during its first three weeks of release (the fourth week of sales data won't be out until tomorrow). Multiplying that by the MSRP for the album ($13.98), we determined the band generated $9,674,160 from the album's U.S. sales.

This data isn't scientific but, even accounting for error, the results show how much more lucrative touring is than album sales, particularly in the case of a legendary act such as U2.

U2 at 6 on Hitsdailydouble with about 51K in sales overall I wouldnt say thats a bad result. As long as they can sell consistantly thats all that matters.
