how can cardiff be a sellout? was reported that capacity would be 70k,

there was about 63,000 there for the vertigo show back in 2005, and that was with one side empty seats.

Well to be honest, i really didnt see many empty spaces during cardiff, there was a patch or 2, but they ended up full during the show, from what i seen anyway.

Plus that end of the stadium probably only holds around 7k.

I can believe Cardiff was a sellout, because the GA section was absolutely PACKED with people who had chosen to stand instead of sit (GA can choose lower level seats OR standing).

London 2 on the other hand - that was never a sellout, other than the "official" sense.

The record attendance for a show at the Stadium was by Take That at 64,000. So U2 now holds the record attendance for the stadium with over 66,500 in attendance.

One big surprise so far is that U2 360 failed to surpass U2 Vertigo Tour in Scotland in terms of both attendance and gross:
