Local Time: 07:22 AM | I don´t think the album is finished in Ireland or anywhere. But I think it´s even more unlikely it is going to repeat the success of its two predecessors at the grammies next year. Hope I´m wrong though. |

Local Time: 07:22 AM | Yeah, I totally agree. Most definitely it will get album of the year nomination and will walk away with a couple awards but not the big ones, i.e. album of the year, record of the year and song of the year. |

Local Time: 07:22 AM | The problem is that a fourth single won´t make 2010 grammys deadline, right? |

Local Time: 12:22 AM | When I look at that list of top sellers in the U.K., acts outside of the U.K. aren't dominating. Sure, KOL is selling big - something about this current album has caught people's attention on both sides of the Atlantic and good for them. I hope they can enjoy this success again (or more) on a future album. And we have to remove MJ from true consideration as that is a special, and sad, circumstance. But Eminem - one who would sell millions everywhere - has abou 1.2M sold in the U.S. and only 8K more than U2 in the U.K. Green Day, despite their huge success of their last album, is struggling in both the U.S. and the U.K. In other words, other big sellers are also having issues in the U.K. (and U.S.) - it's not just U2. I feel for recording artists. In the past KOL's success most likely would have been doubled everywhere (if not more). Now, they have to settle for 2M in the U.S. or maybe 5M worldwide. In 1999 or 2000, N'Sync set a record selling 1.8-1.9M copies of their new album in just ONE WEEK in the U.S. Now, it seems the top selling album of the YEAR will be around that level. I'd hate to be a recording artist now. No wonder U2 is doing this extravagant tour. First, they are one of maybe three artists who could sell out stadiums around the world (MJ may have been loved in many parts of the world, but not in the U.S.) and clearly touring is where the money is these days.
