Renting a big van sounds like a great idea. I would totally be up for that.

You can thank my Grandma for passing along the SUPER MOTION SICKNESS GENE to her children and grandchildren. Ugh. Motion sickness sucks.

Let me put it this way: usually, in any kind of stop-and-go traffic, I will get motion sick if I'm in the back seat of any vehicle . . . and sometimes even if I'm in the front passenger seat. This is why, whenever possible, I try to drive.

Lovely genetics. Lovely.

Amazingly, I didn't get sick on the last trip out to Death Valley in January, and I was in the back of Carlos' car the whole time. But I think that's because there wasn't any traffic, so there was no jerky, stop-'n-go motion going on.

Same with the trip to Vegas last week. No traffic, so I was all right. Though I did start to feel a bit iffy once we got into Vegas and were going down Tropicana Blvd. to get to The Claw/Siena Suites. There's A LOT of stop lights down that boulevard.

It's the combo of me and the red vines that keeps you from barfing!

No se.

But she is touring North America with U2 in '10, so she may not have funds for a Death Valley road trip.

You are so sweet not to mention my driving.

Seriously though, I'm glad you didn't get sick. I get motion sickness sometimes as well, but usually good w/car drives, unless they are windy
7Up and saltines help

Oh and I'm so up for a party van, I can only imagine how fun that would be.
