I play guitar too...but it's been a while since I really played. I broke a string and I'm too lazy to replace it I like to play Staring at the sun , Original of the species, Yahweh, Time of your life by Green Day and 2112 Overture and Limelight by Rush...well just the beginning. Just simple things really. I'm thinking of switching my acoustic for an electric or just keep the acoustic and by an electric. Lately I'm more into drums...I'll be having them soon!

I have a black washburn, and I love it! I don't have an amp...yet. I'm waiting til I get some more skills before I invest. If you want a good pic of it, check out the video on my myspace page. I'm not really playing it, so it doesn't sound like that.
No worries. But thanks for your response now! I had a look, and I like what yours looks like. I can't afford to buy one at the moment, but I'm keeping my eyes open for a nice guitar that I can hopefully buy sometime soon.

Are there any music shops nearby? I actually bought mine used. I got it and the case, for $300. Even though it is used, it looked as though it had barely been touched! I haven't even had to restring it. Keep looking around. I'm sure you'll find one you like.

Tabs based on KROQ and Radio Hamburg mp3's

STANDARD TUNING
-------------------------------------------------
The Edge obviously uses his beautiful Rickenbacker 360/12 on this one, but this is
for all of you (including me) that are limited to a regular six-string guitar.

Intro (with delay):
e|-10--10--10--10\12--12--12--12/10--10--10--10---10-------10-------
B|---12--12--12\----13--13--13--/--12--12--12---------10-------10--- x2
G|--------------------------------------------------12--12---12--12-

Verse riff #1(no delay): play 12 of each note and then slide down to the next one
E|-15-/11-/12-/8-

The shackles are undone
The bullets quit the gun
The heat thats in the sun
Will keep us when there's none

Verse riff #2(with delay):
e|--10-------
B|------10--- repeat as necessary
G|-12-12---12

The rule has been disproved
The stone has been moved
The Grain is now a groove

Verse riff #2(with delay):
All debts are removed, ooh
G|-0-7-5-4-0--7-5-4-----

Chorus: Two guitars, one plays chords.
EDGE (with delay):
e|-----15----15----14----14----17----17----17----17--
B|---15----15----15----15----17----17----17----17---- play this three times
G|-14----14----14----14----17----17--17----17------

then end the third round with the D chord after the C
e|-------17-----14--
B|----17------15----
G|-17-------14------

Meanwhile the second guitar plays these chords:

              G D C
Oh can't you see what our love has done
              G D C
Oh can't you see what our love has done
              G D C
Oh can't you see what our love has done
                  D
What its doing to me

Verse 2:
(Repeat the Verse parts again)
Love makes strange enemies
Makes love of what may well please
Soul in a strip tease
Hate brought to its knees
Sky over our head
Can reach it from our bed
If you let me in your heart
And out of my head

Chorus 2:
(Repeat the Chorus parts again)
Oh can't you see what our love has done
Oh can't you see what our love has done
Oh can't you see what our love has done
What its doing to me

Bridge (with delay):
e|------2---------------------
B|---2-----2----4----4h5p4----
G|-----------------4---------- repeat once
D|-----------4---4---4--------
A|-4--4--4--------------------
E|-

F#m B
Oh oh oh hhhhhhhhhhh
F#m B
Oh oh oh hhhhhhhhhhh
C G
Please don't ever let me out of here!

Solo (with delay):

A|--0-2\10/8-7-5-3\7(bend8)5-3-2\5-3-2- repeat one
E|-3----------------------------------- more time

I've got no shaaaaaaammme.. oh no, oh no!

Play Chorus parts for a while:
(Quietly)
Oh can't you see what love has done
Oh can't you see what love has done
Oh can't you see what love has done
What its doing to me

(Louder)
Oh I know I hurt you and I made you cry
Did everything but murder but you and I
But love left a window in the skies
And to love I rhapsodize
Oh can't you see what love has done
(to every broken heart)
Oh can't you see what love has done
(for every heart that cries)
love left a window in the skies
and to love I rhapsodize
Oh can't you see

(keep playing the intro part until end)
I hope that will do for a start.
I've played around with an audio editor so you can hear Edge's parts way better so I you would like to have a listen send me an email.
