New Gutair Player here....

Hey guys,
I am being given a brand new epiphone lespaul copy as a gift. What amp would you recommend? will i need any effects pedels for this? as I plan on learning some U2.

delay,wah and distortion are must-haves if you want to play u2.
I have roland cube 15 and it's fine to me. Has 4 different distortions and it's not bad,no complaints.
I also have a processor for effects,but i mostly use that three to play anything.
