NLOTH key live

In the studio version, Bono seems to struggle a bit, especially the first verse (and moreso on NLOTH2) but he seems to do it easily live.

Are they playing the song in a lower key live ?

The only version I can find presently on YouTube is in standard tuning.

Same as the album.

I think Bono is struggling in NLOTH2 due more to the tempo and not the key.

It's the same tuning, he's just handling it better.

Wasn't NLOTH recorded in one take in the studio? That might have something to do with the vocal.

The only song I remember that was (a pseudo) one take was Moment of Surrender.

They definitely said four songs were recorded in one take. Moment of Surrender, Unknown Caller, No Line on the Horizon, and Fez-Being Born, if I recall.

Yup, that song is quite sped up and it's quite hard to keep up for Bono. Adam's cheating by using a pick.
