I missed a lot of U2 shows in the U.S. because my beloved Grandpop died this past March. It's been a very sad year and I wasn't in much of a celebration mood earlier in the year.
I'm so glad I got to see them at Staples though! I just saw last night on Ebay that their last show in the U.S. will be in Portland, Oregon. I was so upset! That's too close to Christmas for me to go... my family has too many plans already. So, I didn't bid. How cool would that be to see their last U.S. show. Congrats to everybody who gets to see that! ![]() But now I see Mexico, and I wanna go! Does anyone know the better venue -- University Stadium or Azteca Stadium? |

My sister lives in Portland OR and she flew to San Diego for the opening show at the SD Sports Arena which is right up the street from where I live in Ocean Beach. Now I am flying to Portland to go to the Closing US show 12/19. I am flying to Portland to spend a couple days with my sister. We saw the shows in Vegas together too. This has been an awesome year for the two of us to bond more and my sister has come to understand my appreciation for U2 as she has come to love them more and more. I can't wait till Friday when I board the plane!
