Hey waffles - it was great. The opening blew me away - City of Blinding Lights, Vertigo and Elevation. I was on cloud nine!!

This was my first concert since i last saw U2 in Melbourne for the Popmart show back in 1998. Before that i saw ZooTv in 93. Unfortunatly this was no Zoo Tv, i know they will never be like that again. And to stop during Sunday Bloody Sunday and start preaching really brought the whole show down for me. I wanted to hear my band that i have loved for 22 years not Bono telling me what to do, to text to this, to go to this website, to read that article thing he had up. I respect his views and it's great he does but i don't want it at a concert i'm there to see U2 not the Political Bono and it didn't feel like i saw U2, and unfortunatly i have tickets for tomorrow night and i'm already angry and upset enough as it is. Hope the rest of you had a great time. Oh the highlight was Angel of Harlem and I will Follow, i felt like i was the only person who felt negative about the show but listening to people around the age of 40 on their mobile phones swearing about how bad it was and they also wanted the music not bono's speech made me feel like i'm not the only one who feels this way (and yes i know i'm going to get bagged out for this). I will always love U2 THE BAND, it just wasn't the concert for me.

Bono pulled a gorgeous dark haired girl on stage who must have been 6 feet tall and dwarfed him.

He ended up jumping into her arms and she carried him about the stage like a baby, before he fell at her feet.

The bass was a bit strong early but after the soundies got that right, The Edge's guitar took over.

Bono and Co are staying in Fitzroy St St Kilda which he said during Beautiful Day and he didn't get too much sleep last night because it was heaving with life, noise and energy. So he went down and joined the party and found himself walking down Elwood beach to watch the sunrise. Still not having got any sleep.

hey ya waffles i was going to give up my tickets last night but they are wheelchair tickets my best friend bought them as a xmas present, another reason i'm not wanting to go is the trains there are pretty bad, a lot of drunk people we didn't get home till 4 in the morning lol. I would give them to make a wish foundation but it's too short notice. These are up on level 3 so don't have to line up. I have thought of giving them away for free but as they are wheelchair one's it's a bit hard. I know i gave a negative feedback but i was honoured to see them and wish i could give someone else the priveledge of seeing them like i have.
