'We Support U2'......

Watching this programme today and a 'Scissor Sisters' promo was played. When did they support U2?

Also was mentioned that David Bowie had supported!!???

Now was this just some poor research or am i perhaps going a bit befuddled in my old age??

Didn't The Pope support U2 on one tour?

Everyone has supported U2 at one stage or another.

Na scissor sisters aint supported them. Maybe they mean they supported Bono's RED campaign when they played in London in T Square.

Are you confusing "support" with "opened for"?

See I told you!

Everyone has supported U2 on tour.

Even in the Rattle and Hum tour, a small irish country and western band fronted by Paul, David, Adam and Larry.

In other words, they supported themselves.

The Dalton Brothers, Alton (Bono), Luke (Edge), Betty (Adam) & Duke (Larry) 'supported' U2 three times on the Joshua Tree Tour (Indianapolis/LA & Hampton).

Adam as Betty was my favourite.

Evidently Betty's performance was the inspiration for the Dixie Chicks.

Is there a list of all the artists that have supported (opened) for U2? That would be nice...Public Enemy, Keane, etc...

The Scissor Sisters played at Live 8. I don't know if they opened during Elevation Tour though.
