This will be the biggest event I've done to date. It's a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike and 3 mile run - estimated time = 1.5 hrs!!

so when do start up the swim part? or have you started ?

I only work 2 events at a time (called a 'brick' workout). I had never really swum until about 2 months ago so that's still the hardest for me. The good thing is that I can do all 3 events separately at this point and pieces of them together - now it's just a matter of building up my stamina a little more.

ah! mAKES SENSE!

and the moniker...you build up the "bricks" !

Altho I rarly get to it----I being in the swimming pool!

Have to find my bathing siut, wash it and get a (it's very low $ for people over 50) membership at our NYC recreation places. One ;place i'm near when I in Manhattan has an outdoor and an indoor pool. My friend says its well maintained, too!
