The Perfecto Mix of Lemon and the Zooromancer Remix of Salome are two tracks that I would classify as good dance music. Could anyone point me towards some others? Or maybe just some good instrumental tracks? I liked Bass Trap and Boomerang, for example.

Paul Oakenfold has done a couple of U2 remixes....If you like Oakenfold's style you'd like them...

Elevation Paul Van Dyk remix is good

Don't know if this is really dance...but I like the Triple Peak remix of Can't Help Falling In Love...

I like the Bad Yard Club and Perfecto mixes of ‘Lemon’, and Ferry Corsten did an awesome trance remix of New Years Day a few years ago.

A newie I like is the 7" Jacknife Lee version of ‘Vertigo’.

Also, the version of ‘If You Wear That Velvet Dress Bono’ did with Jools Holland is spectacular (not really a remix, but what the hey!)

I'm not a big fan of remixes in general though, and most of U2's sound really dated.

I can't sit through Melon, and the remix-o-rama that was the b-sides disc from best of 90-00 was pretty poor.

A bit of a tangent:

I've never understood why U2 packed that disc full of remixes when there are plenty of quality actual b-sides that they didn't use from that era, i.e. ‘Satellite Of Love’ and ‘Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad’ (among others).

Cheers,

Andrew

Yeah, Not a great fan of Dance music, but I would have to say my favourite was the old classic Perfecto mix of 'Even better than the real thing', I was at the clubbing age when that came out and it put two of my favourite things together,

Bit to old for all that now, give me ear deafening rock music any day

My favourite remix...I have 2
1.New years day remix with the different lyrics and ethereal piano on its own at the start. I have it on a 12 inch vinyl single.

2. Lady with the spinning head remix from EBTRT cd single

I like the Elevation Influx Mix ... infact I like it more than Elevation, which I've had a hard time growing to like. The original elevation is to one dimensional. Ok, you're elevated and you want to rock. I get it. The Influx Mix gives the song more depth.

The problem is really that there aren't very many good ones period. Alot of attempts have been made but outside the above mentioned, especially the Perfecto mixes and the not yet mentioned Mofo (Mathew Roberts Mix) there just aint much. Good Luck because I'd like to get ahold of some good ones aswell

I heard the Best of B-sides remixes; I like the Mysteriuos ways, Salome and Lady with the spinning head remixes.
I enjoy the new mixes from Pop songs and Numb, too.

Elevation tomb raider mix is good - the one they used in the video.
Influx mix is the one they used at the start of live shows right? It's okay.

I don't know any older ones, except the temple bar remix of Who's gonna ride your wild horses, which is good in that it's not just a "bang bang" dance remix but adds a new dimension to the song.

Lady of the Spinning Head extended dance remix rocks my socks off. And you can dance to it.

Now, sing along:

"la la la la la la la la la la la" :eyebrow:
