iTunes Locking Up My Computer

Today I was just importing some cd's. The first one did okay as did the next. Then I tried to import one of my Green Day cd's. It did the first few songs and then completely locked up. Everything, I had to hit the reset button. I tried again, and the same thing happened. Then I was thinking, okay, it must be the Green Day cd. So I tried my Billie Holiday cd, which is near new condition and the same arfing thing happened with it.

Has anyone else had this problem? How do I fix it, as it is quite annoying. I'm listening to a cd now on iTunes and it's working fine, so it's something with importing I guess.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

iTunes locks up if I have it open before I plug in my iPod

I think it may have been a heat issue with my computer, which we have been having problems with. I just tried importing the Green Day album and it worked.

I've always found minor lock-up issues with iTunes on my system - which has plenty of power to handle the program.

Then last night as I was listening to my iPod.. it locked up!

Was yesterday international apple lock-up day or something?
