Is there a floppy disk in the drive?

^ no the floppy drive has been disabled cuz we never use it - I've checked to make sure there are no discs in the dvd / cd rom, no usb or memory stick any where - I think my computer just hates me!!!

Techy is coming back - very apologetic when I rang back yesterday morning as all was superly fabulous when he left
