Occasionally. I wish it was an all-encompassing chat client (MSN, Yahoo, etc), though. I usually use it to chat with my brother, and he's got a Mac and uses their mobileMe service anyway.

I use either Adium or Meebo, depending on which computer I'm on. Haven't used iChat in years now that I think about it.

Going into chat rooms using iChat is ridiculous because it doesn't even tell you who says what... that's completely ridiculous. And AIM for Mac is completely unreliable, at least on my computer.

i use adium as well, but there is a setting on ichat to make it easier to see who's saying what.

when i first used ichat i thought the same thing, confusing as hell if you're in a multi-person chat.
