Wow. Not my experience, at all.

Computer Repairs - are my expectations too high?

And if you search online, the internet is full of people being screwed over by Toshiba.

Yes, they are more expensive...but well worth it.
Btw, they are extremely consumer friendly and you will get the hang of it in no time.

I suggest going into an Apple store and try them out.
qft. i love macs. my mom who is learning to be computer literate is using my imac at home while i'm away and all she's complained about is my mouse

I went to a Best Buy store and spent about 30-45 minutes
trying different computers priced between 500 and $1000.

I really did not like any of them. I think it is the MS Vista, I did not like.
I hope windows 7 is better. I am using XP now.

Also, each machine was so different. Apple is smart not to let others knock off there machines.

The MS machines are all so different. Some touch pads are too damn small. the right click/ left click are in different places depending on the manufacturer.
The keyboards are all different and respond differently.

I guess once you buy one, you get use to it.

I pretty much have fixed what I could onmy laptop I ended up cleaning out stuff I didnt need defraging and a few couple things. It sounds like my fan is about to go out since it seems to be making noises here and there, Im gonna stick with this laptop until I can afford another one. I need a little bit more memory other then that. I guess it is alright for now, minus a couple things and missingletters on the keyboard from to much typing lol
