YouTube blues

Hi

I no longer can view videos on YouTube. It says:
"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player. "

I upgraded my flash player, and same thing so I guess it is the javascript. So I check internet options > Security, but I do not know in the long list what I need to turn on....

Anyone know what is up?

PS I just worked about three weeks or so ago, and I don't recall changing anything (I know everyone says that).

You need to have JavaScript and Java enabled.

Java (SUN)
Use JRE 1.6.0_07 for <applet> (requires restart)

under security tab custom settings
Active Scripting is enabled

here we go, I didn't mention I had Windows Vista. I found this on the Adobe site:

Windows Vista installation failure
On some Windows Vista systems Flash Player may be installed, but will not display Flash content. In some cases updating to the latest Flash Player using the included utility can correct the User Account Control settings that cause this problem.

To run the utility, find your installed Flash folder:

Right-click C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil9d.exe
The letter changes with each Flash version, so may be "FlashUtilb.exe" or "FlashUtile.exe"
Select "Run as Administrator"
Follow the steps to complete the Flash Player installation
Restart your computer

I am about to restart my computer, I will post if it works in case anyone else has the same issue
