But the beauty is they don't have to create 10 new songs, according to pretty much everyone a big chunk of the album is already there.

I'll take that bet.

The Ground Beneath Her Feet!! That would be an excellent choice. I would absolutely die if they played ASOH! I've never heard that song live. Also, someone earlier mentioned Wire that would be awesome also. Even if they rotated some of those songs around each night, just to keep it spontaneous.

Do you think Bono would still be able to sing Red Hill? My sister and brother in law saw the RRHOF MSG show and he said it sounded like his voice was pretty rough on Veritgo. Of course, I defended my guy by saying they had just toured all over the place and he hasn't had too much of a chance to rest his voice.

I think he could pull it off on a good day...I've come to the conclusion that all Bono needs is adequate rest between performances...when Bono is on these days...he's unstoppable.

I also think there's slightly better chances of him singing it these days with his much improved technique.

More and more I don't think it'a voice problem or capacity. It's just if he wants to give 100% or not.

Example:

SBS, WOWY = voice is boring to death

Ultraviolet = voice is unbelievable, best in 20 years

It's the same guy, same concert, same band..... but not the same voice

What do you mean by "still" he was never really able to sing it live night after night, one of the reasons they never released it...

That's an interesting observation!
I'm thinking back to how blow-me-away he sounded for Ultraviolet while he didn't really belt out SBS or WOWY, but I feel like this was partly a matter of how he decided to wrap himself around the song, ya know, kinda more loosely around those two and more tautly around Ultraviolet. And that his voice *itself* is strong enough lately that he *can* produce completely respectable SBSs and WOWYs while leaving more of the 'work' of the performance to the effects, the crowd, etc., if that makes any sense at all...

I was thinking if he sounded sorta rough for RRHOF it might be because he'd been jawing away for hours and hours

they did beautiful day at that show also... im starting to think it may be a contractual agreement that they have to play BD at every single live performance for the rest of their careers...

either that or the all night whiskey bender on the plane they refer to in rolling stone. that helps your voice...
