It's not exactly a very hospitable thread title or thread discussion for people who do not share your consensus.

Of course, "the outside world" has heard about it. It was all over the newswires.

So these supporters who initiated the idea may be alright, but U2 are not for liking this gesture or suggesting we might want to join the gesture? Is that the problem?

with all of the great songs they are practicing and the way the Set List is shaping up. I just knew they would have to do something lame, I was expecting a 20-30 minute speech on something from Bono (which I would take after seeing this) but this is taking lame into the stratosphere

Well, you can actually chose between mask and 30 minutes speech.

Come on people, stop being so damn melodramatic. Life is serious enough.

what's the feeling on other message boards? surely NO fan is going to go for this?

For the first time ever I feel he just DOESN'T FUCKING GET IT.

He reckons we're a sophisticated fan base, well treat us like it...

Can we actually get them to take it down, quickly?!

I love this topic.

Just imagine they'll have Larry wear this mask.

OMG!!! I was thinking that too!
I have to thank everyone who has posted re:The Mask! I have never laughed as much and never about U2.
My husband keeps asking me why I am laughing hysterically. How do I tell the poor guy he has to wear a mask to his 1st U2 concert???
