The energy and enthusiasm of 40,000 people just can't compare to that of nearly 100,000. The sing-along on ISHFWILF/SBM was just otherworldy. It was so unbelievable to be part of a huge "voice" like that. But yeah, U2 themselves were better in Vegas. Both were great shows, though, and had different highlights. Fantastic, fantastic concert experiences.

 I went to the Rose Bowl Saturday to check everything out and got some pics from the hills overlooking the stadium:   A couple from the show (I was in section 3, high on Edge's side so had a great view of pretty much everything)

I was tailgating with some friends and I must say that the atmosphere at the picnic at the park was great. Now to the show... I thought it was a solid show. This was my 10th time seeing them and one of the biggest outdoor shows that I've seen with the exception of the last Vertigo show in Hawaii. That being said, this was HUGE! I've heard & read mixed feelings about the show itself so I'm kinda bummed that people thought it was a flop because it was so hyped. Like I said, I thought it was solid. I do see how some people felt that the set list kinda dragged in some spots but I've been saying this, as well as others that they needed to fine tune it just a bit on that front. New songs sounded awesome live as well as the old ones. Loved Unforgettable Fire & Ultra Violet. |

 I didn't climb on their roof, we were on the sidewalk and the person's house is set into the hill so when you're in front of it, you're looking down on it. So many people in that neighborhood could have had such a great free view of the show Sunday, all they had to do was get on their decks or roofs or even opened their windows. Yahoo has pics of some of the celebs who were at the show here. I will share this one with my dear, dear friend Ethan ...
