I loved last night! the boys played really well - they also really seemed to enjoy themselves!
I had red zone 2 tickets (on Adam's side) but i was a bit dissapointed that the other members of the bandonly came over once or twice! im probably being a bit silly - but i thought i should have just got seats instead! i would have seen alot more!

Night 1 was INSANITY. It was brilliant, it was amazing, and it was awesome.

Let's hope some of it carries over to Night 2!

my first u2 gig, i really wanted to see them 20 years ago, i would have jumped over a river to see them.

but after last night, im not going to another u2 gig after this

they played the gig all night pretty much with their backs turned to us, and i had to use my binoculars to see the members side on to us.

and 70000 people? that's just too much! whats the whole point of this gathering of masses anyway?
the people werent particularly great either, ive never seen so many families, mums and dads. you'd think there'd be 2 people who didnt know each other being on the same wavelength for the liking of the music.

1/2 a star

Looks like you were the only one with that thought.

his post earlier in this thread leads me to believe he got what he expected. self fulfilling prophecy etc.

also sometimes we all get to a certain event/ occasion under complicated circumstances, and its up to us whether or not we have our own complicated little experience

now ive done my duty, and i've been to the concert, i can get the eff out!

Dear Sydney,

I, cobl04 and his real-life embodiment whose name shall not be revealed, sincerely and humbly apologise for all the constant put-downs and mockings I have so repeatedly placed upon you. As I sat by the cold, blue light of my computer screen at various times over the past 48 hours, in setlist parties and reading reviews of both shows, I have come to realise that Sydney, though I have never been there, must be a pretty great place as you appear to have put on a show for U2 as much as they have for you. No longer will you incur my "shitney!" or "we have every major sporting event" jibes. Because, at the moment, all I want is you.

Yours respectfully,

cobble.

What an amazing two nights!! Can't believe how lucky Sydney got it!! Just amazing!!

An extra little highlight for me was meeting Bono when he arrived at the stadium yesterday evening. I think I died on the spot.

 Still can't believe it. I'll write up my full reviews when we get home tomorrow afternoon.

just got home. Writing a review of the shows, and a recap of my days.

Just, wow! Never heard so many references to how good the crowd were, how much fun they were havng, or how much they didnt want to leave on any bootleg before.

Just got back to the states. What an amazing couple of days!

So this is a long shot, but I'll try it anyway.

Are there any Australian's out there who either A. have an extra t shirt with the entire NZ,AU dates on the back or B. someone in Australia who could purchase one of u2.com (Australia store) for me?

Would cover all shipping costs and the price of the shirt. For some reason, I can't buy merchandise from the Australia store in the US. If anyone knows how I could do this, please let me know.

What a great couple of shows. Thanks to Sydney and all its wonderful people for their hospitality. Soon isn't soon enough for my return to Australia!

I only have two words for you folks.

Sydney Two. Oh yes, oh yes....oh dear god yes!

:illhavewhatsheshaving:

Sydney 2 made Sydney 1 look like a rehearsal.

Good God

  ~ exceeded my expectations and then batted em out of the stadium ~ still get that happy glow in my innards when I think about it :cute:

:lmao: cobble ~ favourite.post.evah:cute:

I have to say I was pretty blown away by the crowd too ~ aside from the usual odd bods who seem to think that sitting down / and or standing and videoing a show is a way to really experience it :)der: ) ~ Sydney was ready to party

Is this link not working for you? U2 - Official Australian Online Store
I could go to U2.com --> U2 Shop and then click on Shop Australian Tour Shop without any problems.

Night 2 was awesome. Anyone bothered that Sydney 2 didn't sell out.
